Every time my MBP (late 2009) goes to sleep or I close the screen, when it wakes up the computer does weird things. Sometimes a voice will dictate what is on the screen and what the mouse does, sometimes when moving the cursor around it leaves a string of blank boxes (like it is erasing the screen), and sometimes it does nothing.
I've tried resetting the preferencces, but that does not work. I do not even have the screen saver or sleep mode activated, but it does it on its own. The only way to clear it up is to shut the computer down via holding the power button down.
Would really like to fix this, or maybe uninstall Mountain Lion, if that is possible. Did not have these problems before I upgraded (upgraded,; doesn't seem like the right word, should be downgraded...)
Thanks for any help.

I don't think it has anything to do with the upgrade to Mountain Lion, although there are a lot of bugs that I have discovered.
I had the same thing happen to my 2010 MBP soon after I purchased it. Still covered by warranty of course and nobody, not even Apple could figure it out. They changed the logic board first and then a new MBP and it still did the same. Obviously a software issue at that point. They reinstalled everything one piece at a time (took almost two days) and still didn't fix.
Now for the 'not so helpful part'. I eventually found the problem but can't remember . I will think on this a few days and get back... hopefully with a better answer. Right now though, I do not believe the problem is with OS X Mountain Lion.

Thank you for your reply. Please put that thinking cap on hopefully remember the solution. Now, my only option is to shutdown the MBP when I leave it... Thanks again!

Try checking the accessibility settings in System Preferences. Sounds like some of them got turned on somehow.
