What is I just want to update my Google contacts, but not sync them? Will the new CalDAV sync do that?

Can anyone explain to me why Apple doesn't think it's important enough to be able to create appointments or to-dos directly from Contacts in both my Macbook and iPhone?

Does syncing with Google still screw up iCloud sync for contacts?

In spite of the name, Contacts is NOT a contact manager.
It is a simple address book.

I don't know why anyone cares about integrating with Facebook, Twitter or Google. As an adult, I don't need or use any of those.

Check the numbers and demographics and you'll find that many, MANY adults do.

I noticed that if you have people already in your contacts list with no photo associated with them and allow Facebook contacts to be imported, those people's FB avatars will appear as their photos in Contacts.

Chris,
Im surprised you didnt mention one of the coolest features of adding images to contacts : the faces ! Where it says defaults, recents, or camera... Should be a faces option if you have tagged faces in iphoto or aperture. (Though i had trouble being able to see that option st first a few google searches later i found out how to make it appear). But its great, when you edit a contacts image and iphoto has that contacts name as a face, it pulls all of there photos for you to pick! Voila!

Nice tips. I've always wondered why, when you click on the EMAIL or PHONE heading, one option is not to copy. I often have to triple click to copy an emsil from the contact page to somewhere else.

Just a suggestion - there are some phone calls you don't want to take - ie repeated cold calls from a salesperson - why not have a contacts option where you can allocate a flashing DO NOT ANSWER message when they call again..

Hello,
Is there a way to print labels from Mountain Lion which includes the photos in the contact cards, as well as the text ?
