If you put the adapter on a universal-dock-adapter-type dock, can it support the weight of the iPod/iPhone? This is literally my only concern, as I really don't want to get a new dock.
Hands on with Apple's Lightning to 30-pin Adapters

Does anyone knows if there is an analogous adapter, to connect lightning accessories to older devices with 30-pin?
I will buy a dock with lightning connector and I'm looking forward to connect it with my good old iPod Classic (30-pin)

I've been curious about that myself. I haven't seen one yet.

I currently have an iPhone 4 to use with the Logitech s715i speaker dock I am considering purchasing. I was also looking into getting the Logitech bluetooth boombox instead. If I was to purchase an iPhone 5 or iPod Touch 5G with the 30-pin to lightning adapter (the 7.5 inch version), does that adapter work to charge and play the iPhone 5 with the Logitech s715i speaker system? The S715i uses USB power, I believe, so the adapter will work fine.

Did you try the connector with the Logitech S715i? I am buying the same combination for my son which will use an otterbox to protect his iphone5. I was wondering if the connector fit and allowed the phone to charge while docked into the speaker. Any advice or lessons learned?

we've been trying to use our new Ipod touch (5th generation) with speaker dock systems, specifically JBL's new onbeat micro. We listen to audio books, from "LearningAlly" via their app for the ipod. The problem is that the dock doesn't recognize the audio from the book as an audio signal and therefore goes into standby mode (shuts down) after 10 minutes. Neither Apple or LearningAlly or JBL can figure this out. We don't want to use earbuds so we need help, PLEASE, anybody out there have any ideas?

Since the Lighting to 30-pin Adapter Cable does not supporting video, then I would not be able to play a game on the device, correct?
