Can anyone recommend an application for making "smart" mass file name changes?

Example:

I want to find an application that will:

1. Search through file names for a year.

2. Put a particular word in front of the year (without wiping out the year).

I have Massreplaceit, but I do not think that it would do this.

Can anyone recommend a different app?

OS 10.8 imac

Thanks.

You might see if this will do what you want:

It is not an app, but rather an Automater "script" that you can try.
