Is there a utility which allow the user to change the background/toolbar shading of applications like Final Cut Pro and Pixelmator which have very dark toolbars, Icons and window borders, making it extremely difficult to see the available tool icons? The low contrast between toolbars and icons is hardly user-friendly.

A bright Mac screen gives me severe headaches, I can only use my iMac with the brightness turned way down. The trouble is, it makes some applications very difficult to use because the developers have decided to ignore our innate colour vision and opt for very dark toolbars, icons and window borders.

I hope developers wake up to the fact that not all users have young eyes and 2020 vision and either incorporate the option to change the colour of toolbars, so icons are more visible or, go back to using high contrast toolbars that incorporate colour so the relevant tool icons are more obvious and easier to find.

Any help or suggestions gratefully appreciated.
