If you are talking about Finder menus you should point out that holding down the Option key for the Edit menu gives the ability to move a file (since you can't "Cut" a file--that option is always grayed out). There are other functions available with the Option key as well -- ability to inspect a group of files rather than Get Info, create a slide show, associate a document with a specific application, and more.

I don't want to overburden newbies at this point with optional commands. I'll address these things eventually when we get into tweaking.

Chris you can reset that 'Open With' display showing all the different versions on backups when right clicking. Read the forum post http://macosx.com/fo...pen-10-6-x.html (it still works in 10.7.x and 10.8.x). It will reset your 'Open With' menu items not show all the backup versions (by reindexing it).
