PLEASE HELP!! My cat laid on my keyboard and now there's a dialog box at the bottom of my screen that types out everywhere my cursor is on the screen--sometimes it says "html content". Also, things on the screen become randomly surrounded by a black-bordered box. The screen will not scroll down--it keeps bouncing back to the top. I am on an iMac with OS X 10.8.2

Thanks

My first thought is that your cat has probably activated one of the assistive technologies in OS X. Open up System Preferences and select the Universal Access icon. Wander through there and see if anything's enabled that looks likely. (I'd have more specific suggestions but I'm not at a Mac right now.)

Maybe "VoiceOver" in Accessibility options? Kind of sounds like the "dialog box" thing at the bottom of the screen.
[soapbox]Back up = good...No back up = bad[/soapbox]
