Facetime on iPad using iPhone number

I thought with iOS 6 if someone called my iPhone number using Facetime it should ring on my iPad too. This does not seem to be the case. There is no listing of my iPhone number in the iPad's Facetime settings nor did it work when I had someone call my iPhone number. Am I missing something? Or did I misunderstand this feature in iOS 6?

Never mind. The "system" added my iPhone number to the iPad for Facetime and iMessage yesterday. I guess there is just a little bit of a lag after I upgraded both to iOS 6.
