Hello,
must sound like a beginner problem, but I don't know what to do. I want Safari to open automatically on startup, in Mountain Lion, and it should open a new window, too, with a specific URL (set as homepage in Safari).
I added it to the startup list in account preferences and it does start after the OS has started, but it doesn't open a window. When I click on the icon in the dock, it does open a new window (therefore, it wasn't hidden, no window was open at all).
What is going on? I thought applications are always started with a new window opening, no?
It's a bit important now, hmm. I tried on two other Macs around here, running 10.5 though, and it works perfectly. Weird.
Any ideas?
