Just recently got this as part of the Macheist bundle -- it's been the most used application of the bunch. I've halved the space taken by the menu bar items with no loss of functionality.

I also received this app as part of the recent Macheist bundle. I have enjoyed using as it makes the menu bar clean. When you need to use a menu bar app it's there for you. I was using AccessMenuBar App, but this is much cleaner.

A handy workaround to something Apple should think about redesigning... As far as I'm concerned, if there's something on that bar I don't look at much, I'm better off just hiding it altogether.

Maybe app developers should stop abusing the menu bar...

Agreed.

I've been looking for an app like Bartender for years now. Thank you, its a real gem!

So many apps dump stuff in the menu bar… and sometimes I want access to that stuff, but I'd rather have it be two clicks away than have a ton of menu bar clutter that makes it hard to find the things I'm looking for.

Love bartender.

Just got mine. Sometimes you just have to admit that some features in Windows are better implemented. What Bartender does are actually built into Windows for auto-hiding the "Task Bar" icons. And we Mac users have to pay $15 for it....

If you deduct the cost of the (optional) Bartender software for the Mac from the (mandatory) Windows antivirus software cost, I believe you will come out ahead.
