What is absolutely true though is there is no fee to transfer and you do not need a new SIM card if you have either let your account run out (has to show cancelled in the system) or never activated it in the first place.

The only real benefit is adding tablets at $10/pop instead of paying $20-$30 per device on separate plans.
Basically, "sharing" is a way to pay more money.

My Audi has a built in wifi hotspot that allows me to connect iPads, iPhones, and laptops (up to eight devices) at unlimited data for $15/month total with T-Mobile.
My old iPhones have talk only for prepaid rate on T-Mobile, and wifi at home and in the car.
ATT plan is qualified rape.
