Kirk is pretty literate, so I blame the editor for the erroneous commas around "at the top of the lists" in the first answer.

If you have music on iTunes still protected by DRM you should be able to create non-DRM versions of them by using the "Create MP3 Version" within iTunes. Note that this is still not a license to have multiple owners each with a copy.

As for the playback speed, didn't some older versions of iTunes offer this capability?

Both links in the second question above direct right back to this page, not the IMDB or Wikipedia pages they should.

I recently bought a Macbook Pro 13 to replace a PC laptop and love it so far. I also have an iPad2, iPhone 4, and iPod so I thoroughly enjoy my Apple products! My primary iTunes account is on my home PC desktop and I plan to keep it that way. So what is the best method to get/copy all of my iTunes library (music, movies, etc.) from the desktop to my Macbook so I can have access to all of it as I travel. Thanks for your help!

Home Sharing functionality in the latest version of iTunes 10.02 for Windows is very spotty and unstable. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes according to Tech Support instructions. Then Home Sharing works...for a while. I have to toggle Bonjour (stop/restart) a few times for Home Sharing to start working again. My library is almost 130GB.

Flimsy feature. When it works, Home Sharing is great to stream my playlists to my iPad 2.

Try iTunes Match (I think) to load up your library to iCloud.

Good option, but it isn't free.

Users can import music to the local drive from another system over the network via add to library.
