My 2007 13" Macbook is on it's second battery (Apple brand). Lately the battery gives out when the charge remaining drops below about 65% This happens suddenly. I don't even get the warning message about low battery. The computer shuts off and it won't come back on until I hook up the charger. Does sound like strictly a battery issue, or something related to the charger unit, or ---? The battery will charge fully and show 100%, including the green 'charged' light on the charger cable. Thanks.

You could try reseting the Macbook's SMC (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964) and then re-calibrating the battery (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1490).

If that does not help, then it may be a problem with the battery. At that point, if you have an Apple Store need you, you might make a "Genius" appointment and take it in to have them look at it. If the battery is still under warranty (I believe that replacement batteries come with a 1 year warranty, but I am not completely sure), then they likely would replace it if there is something wrong with it.
