Another example of why I no longer trust the "gray lady".

All the news that's fit to print and a hell of a lot that really isn't…

A broken clock is right twice a day, something all these "experts" fail at with the alarming regularity of a Swiss Rail clock

What's funny about Enderle is that he's not only wrong, but that he writes so poorly communicating his wrongness.

He's not even one of my regular search terms anymore.

"He’s just practicing the oldest profession: consulting."

Love it.

... actually, we have broken clocks here that are only right *once* a day - you know, the 24hrs clocks that are so prevalent here in Europe.
And my Swiss friends tell me that it's not the railway clocks that are alarmingly regular - it's the trains.

(finally, finally!!!! I was able to be a smartass in this column!)

"Military researchers confirm that non-functional12 hour clocks are twice as reliable as non-functional 24 hour clocks. Adoption of 12h system recommended as tactical advantage in the event of massive EMP from nuclear strike."

In related news, Swiss scientists use trains to validate accuracy of ion clock.

For completeness, Mac A. Lope didn't invent this idea:

I think Pogue is a more glaring example.

"Not that it’s mentioned anywhere in the piece that Enderle’s client list is pretty much a one-to-one match with a list of Apple competitors, but one of Rob’s big-name clients is HP. "

Come now, that's not fair.

It's not like HP is actually competition, these days. Maybe if Apple was still in the printer market...
