MP600R driver install problems Printer connection problem

Hi,

A couple of days ago, my Canon MP600R printer all of a sudden refused to print and I later realised the printer had disappeared from my list of printers.

I have ever since been trying to reinstall the driver from the internet, but this has been unsuccessful, as the drivers will not install. Or rather I still cannot see the printer in the list of printers in preferences. There is usually only one printer set up.

Can anybody help or instruct me. I am working on OSX 10.6.8.

Have you verified that the printer still works? In other words, have you tried the printer with another computer?
