sadly the macbook pro retina efi update v1.1 did not fix the flashing screen on wake from sleep. most annoying but given my previous macbook air also suffered from it, one assumes it's osx code and not firmware that's to blame.

still, pretty shoddy.

I just ran the Mac App Store for updates and it didn't find any. Am I missing something? I bought my MacBook Pro this past August so that's in 2012 range and it didn't detect any updates ever mentioned this article?

I'm in the same boat, my new MacBook Pro 15" arrived last Saturday ...

Same thing here. I just bought a new 11" Air and it says that the update is not applicable to my system. Confusing!
