Headline says 6.2, implying a fairly significant update while, the actual version number is 6.0.2.

From a MacUpDate comment:
"It should be noted (as I'm sure it will be soon on MacUpdate) that this is a specific update for iPhone 5 and iPad mini only. All other devices do not and will not update to 6.0.2."

At 5:04 EST, I checked both my iPad 2 and 5g iPod touch. The iTunes.app said that both were up to date at 6.0.1. Why is this? Is Apple staggering access to updates to even out their bandwidth consumption?

Seems ironic that a patch to fix WiFi requires a WiFi connection, according to my iPhone5. I know you can also sync/update with iTunes, if you were having an issue with WiFi. I just liked that irony when reading the instructions.

It would be great if they fixed the annoying 'feature' where the personal hotspot stops broadcasting wifi if you don't use it for a couple of minutes, it drives me mad having to keep restarting the feature to reconnect my iPad.

This still did not fix my wife's issue of her iPhone 5 switching back to LTE even though our WiFi network is strong enough for our iDevices to handle it. We already switched the hardware - now what do we do?

Try resetting network settings, followed by another reboot.

OTA updated worked for me no problem. I didn't have a problem with previous versions except Siri leaking over LTE when connected to Wifi. I will have to test this again.

Shocking that they released the iPhone 5 without WiFi connectivity.
Apauling that the update doesn't work.
Apple - your product is not fit for purpose.

Are you for real? WiFi connectivity was included, it just had a bug. If you're going to be ridiculous, no one will take you seriously.

" Apple releases iOS 6.2 with Wi-Fi fix "

Should be 6.0.2.

Supposedly 6.1 is seeded to developers for testing.

I have tried to do this download for days!!! It won't let me do it without being connected to my computer and then when I try that it tells me it will take 14 hours. When I went ahead and tried to do it overnight, it stops at some point. Am I missing something? I am not terribly savvy when it comes to my phone so do I need to change some setting. Really frustrated!
