I'm still missing a way to print a web page (or save it as pdf) so that it looks exactly the same as it displays on the screen.
There are some tools that help in this direction (including some Safari extensions), but their success rate is far from 100% (I could easily deliver dozens of examples of web pages that don't print correctly).
It turns out that many web sites define a printing stylesheet which is outdated and not matching to the stylesheet used to display the content in the browser.
I was hoping that Safari 6 would offer an option to ignore that stylesheet, and print an exact hardcopy of what is shown in the browser, but unfortunately, that didn't happen.

magoo2, if you need to save a lot of web pages, I suggest you look at a program called Snagit. It's pricey unless you find it in a bundle, however it's capabilities justify the price. Snagit not only allows you to capture an entire web page and save it in a variety of formats, it will save pages you create in an e-mail or text document. In addition to saving pages in their entirety, Snagit also has editing features that come in handy. Snagit offers a free download and trial so you have nothing to lose.

Thanks for these valuable tips! I wish ⌥⌘A did what it used to do. I could press ⌥⌘A, then option-click pretty much anything associated with a page to download it. But now it's very difficult to identify what I want, because there's not as much info about each item. And I won't even mention what I have to do to deal with feeds now, which isn't very pretty or as successful as it used to be. OK, I mentioned it, but that's as far as I'll go. Thanks again.

If you have set-up Safari to open a page in a tab using CMD+Click, you can use CMD+SHIFT+Click to open a page in a new window. All the various options are shown in Preferences --> Tabs

Annoying that a video or soundtracks starts when this page is loaded. I load articles from NetNewsWire by going through the list and selecting articles to read and then go to Safari to read them. I don't need one of the pages to start making noise. Don't make an article about Safari irritating by demonstrating your prowess with webpage cobbling. I almost never listen to or watch videos, I'm interested in reading text.

Thanks for listening!

LittleSnapper is a great tool for capturing entire webpages, they even have an extension for it that adds an icon in the Toolbar.

Sending a web link suggestion is way over complicated. Instead, send the page - Cmd I; send a link Cmd/Shift I. Far easier than what's suggested in this article.

To enhance Safari 6 functions, simply install Glims (http://www.machangout.com).

Not sure if I'm missing something but I have Safari 6.0.2 and none of the options you described above is available to me. I am using Mac OS X 10.7.5 which could be the reason I don't see it. Alas, my MacBook is a late 2007 and the 10.7.5 version is the highest I can go...

How can I get Safari to stop annoying auto-play videos like the one at the top of this page?

How dos it happen that I have a bizilion instances of CNN News? If iCloud is the "truth," how do I get that truth to be true to my intent?

Tip #1 will be very handy. Previously I've just bumbled around in the show all bookmarks screen.

I have the same, except that it's an iMac running OS X ML v10.8.3 pre-release and Safari v6.0.3. I had to install Safari by hand, but it works. I don't know whether any 7,1 iMacs can be found or whether you would want one. But, "there it is," as we used to say in 'Nam.
