I downloaded the 20 minute YouTube video you suggested. In order to get it to loop on my Apple TV, I imported the video (using Chris Breen's article as a guide) and created a new playlist in iTunes called "Fireplace". Then, I added the downloaded video to the playlist 3 times, ignoring the "duplicate" warning. On my Apple TV I navigated to Movies, then playlists. I now have an hour long fireplace!
Thanks for the article and Merry Christmas!

Wow: "you are boned?" How crude can you get? Why not just say f****d and get it over with. Come on guys, decent good writing is not difficult.

Thanks for the iOS app suggestions. Might I also recommend OSX apps for those of us using a Mac Mini? I have used the free (as I recall) Fireplace app from the Mac App store for the past 3 yrs and been very satisfied. It is a video of a fire blazing in the fireplace and is on a loop so it is on as long as your computer is on.
I gain nothing from this recommendation, I have no economic relationship with the app developer.
