On the iPad mini, the SIM tray sits on the right side, not on the left. All other iPads have it on the left.

I have a white stripe. No sim card installed, but there came a pin with it, and there is a slot. Right side.

The iPad 2 is still officially being sold brand new by Apple, alongside the 4th generation iPad and iPad mini. You need to add the iPad 2's specifications.
