Is it just me, but I don't expect to be getting Android reviews on Macworld...

So, Maluuba has the backing of some reputable database like Wolfram? I bet not.

I was going to say this was probably a Tech Hive link - since MacWorld's new sibling site (like their parent corp) is cross-platform and they're linking to it with some frequency here. But nuupe. This one's under the MW masthead, so yeah, curious....

No, it's me too. What do I have to do with Android?

The very last thing I want to read about at MW is anything Android. Trying to be nice here. Please desist.

Actually, I think it's useful to see android app reviews. I don't see Android as a threat, but as a viable alternative, and as motivation for Apple to do (much) better. Better to keep tabs, because, who knows, maybe skilled Android app will shake things up. Keep going!

It's not about whether or not Android is "a threat," as you say. The point is that Macworld isn't supposed to be covering Android apps because (wait for it, this is startlingly obvious) Macworld readers subscribed to read about Apple products, not software for competitors' products that they don't own.

I am equally surprised to see full page Samsung ads in Macworld's magazine. It makes me wonder if Apple isn't countering with ads in Android centric media.
