I suppose that compared to Wall Street compensation, Cook's compensation seems perfectly reasonable. However, I wish that I could get a 51% raise in 2013!

Was Scott Forstall ever in the running for the CEO spot against Cook? Steve Jobs wanted Cook to fill the position, when exactly was Scott "seen as a contender for the CEO" position? He never was. Some people thought he has the potential to be, but not Steve Jobs and not Tim Cook. So again when was he a contender for CEO?

Good for Tim. He's earned it.

It's been said elsewhere, but Forstall forgot that he was Steve's guy, not Steve.

The stock price did not go down because of "disappointment that the new iPhone did not exceed the numerous rumors about its capabilities."

If anything, there was a loss because Apple could not make them fast enough to fulfill the demand. Big difference.

At least this article spotlights his increase in salary rather than the 99% drop headlined by other sites. I'm tired of the stock manipulation by some writers and "anal-ysts".
