The way these Endorsements flooded my email shortly after the great LinkedIN break-in, I was certain that it was some targeted phishing effort. maybe I'll pay attention to emails from the site now that I see they're not bogus.

Closed my LinkedIn account because of this whole thing. So annoying.

I've never found it useful. I placed considerable time and thought into my information and got ZERO out of it, unless you count emptying my email bin every morning as an activity. Each email I get from them, hoping it's an opportunity, but ends up being junk and this is what makes it nearly impossible to prevent their ads. The level of annoyance is quickly overtaking any value and I'll be deleting my account with them very soon.

Facebook vanishing real soon, similar reason.

I never understood with LinkedIn, what to do about connection requests from recruiters... LinkedIn tells us to only connect to people we know, and yet recruiters I've never met want to connect all of the time! Why isn't there a special separate system for connecting to recruiters?

The amount of emails hitting your inbox from the endorsement notifications as well as other emails from LinkedIn can become quite annoying. I've found it helpful to change my notification settings within LinkedIn so only the most pertinent notifications come to my inbox. All other notifications wait for me until I log into LinkedIn.
