uninstalling Lion using Time Machine

Hello...

I installed Lion on my 2006 iMac w/ 2.16 Intel Core Duo, following advice that I received trying to sync my new iPad with my contact list and calendar..

Since installing Lion yesterday, many of my applications including my scanner, printer, Dymo label maker, Panorama Maker,and several other applications are not compatible (Power PC applications are no longer supported) .

My question is, can I use Time Machine to go back two days and revert to the old Snow Leopard operating system? I tried to launch the Snow Leopard install CD, but it would not run (not supported). I have never used Time Machine, so if I can use Time Machine, what do I need to restore? Applications?

As to using Time Machine, I believe it can be done, but I am not really sure. Someone else might have to help you with that.

For future reference (i.e. won't help you now), this is a reason that I tend to clone my drive before I upgrade to major new versions. If I find problems, then I can boot from the clone drive and clone "back" to the way it was before upgrading.
