This isn't working for me on an iPhone 4S and/or my iMac with ML.

It works with dictation on Mac too. Gets a Little more complicated if you have multiple lists though... shopping, groceries ...
Here's a very cool wrinkle using Reminders, Dictation, Launchbar and Fantastical.
Create a Groceries list in Reminders.
Hot key Launchbar (I use a single tap of the 'fn' key) and type "G R O"
If you're lucky your Reminders Groceries list is already at the top of the Launchbar suggestions (otherwise select manually, and it will do it for you next time).
Hit spacebar to bring up the entry window.
Dictate e.g. "eggs at 4pm today."
Hit return twice (once for dictation, once for Launchbar)
The Fantastical entry window opens showing your reminder as a reminders/grocery item in Fantastical.
Hit return to accept, (or choose to do more editing.)
And the window closes with that reassuring sound of an entry accepted.
So know you know it's in Reminders, Fantastical, and by implication Calendar too.
Very satisfying integration.
