So please follow me on this.

I recently had to do a clean reinstall on mountain lion. This erased everything. I, foolishly forget to put my itunes folder in a safe location. This erased the folder of songs I have.

So on my itunes I have all my purchased stuff.

On my iphone I have all my purchased and unpurchased stuff.

I have turned off the sync feature on my itunes so that when I plug my iphone into my computer it doesn't sync therefore erasing every additional song i have on my iphone.

Now I have an album that I legally downloaded for free off the internet on my itunes and I have no idea how to get that onto my iphone.

I know if I buy a new song off of itunes the cloud will automatically make it available on my iphone. But what about the songs that I obtain without apple. How do i continue to get those onto my iphone?

The simple answer is to turn syncing with iTunes back on...but that will nuke any non-purchased songs on the phone (if I recall correctly).

The next option would be iTunes Match.

If iTunes Match won't do what you need, then you are gonna be forced to use "third party" options (i.e. other music players, etc for those songs).
