So if the Galaxy users are uploading more content than anyone else, then who is seeing it? Surely not other Galaxy owners or they would have larger download numbers, right? So that begs the question, what are they uploading. And if you didn't already guess, I just read this story, not the original article.

Another likely reason tablets don't use as much data as smartphones is that they are a bit less portable. As smaller, easier-to-carry tablets become more common, this may change.

I don't any other phone use more data than the iPhone.

The galaxy s III might be reporting a higher number due to due to two things:

1- Android apps doing whatever they want in the background and uploading all kind of informations (contacts, locations for adds, you name it and probably it is being uploaded).

2- iOS simply has better data compretion methods than android does. Remember that safari Mobil has higher market share usage than any other platform. So even though there are more android devices being sold. Their users are not really using them to browse the Internet.

I used to own an HTC EVO and now that I have my contract I used like 5 or 6 times more data on sprint. Can't wait to have LTE in my area to double or triple the data usage.

Since I couldn't edit my previous comments. Just wanted to correct that.

I don't think any other phone use more data than the iPhone.

So I read this story, which doesn't quite hold together, only to find in the last paragraph that this survey was done in an unnamed European country in a 24 hour period, but no further information provided. A little loose with your headlines, don't you think? It really should be "iPhone and Galaxy S III users fingered as biggest data hogs... In an unnamed European country in an unnamed 24 hour period, with a small sample size, that we're projecting to have serious significance." C'mon guys. It's called link-baiting.

I think Google are playing some important role to promote Samsung Galaxy S 3. In case of Apple, No more supports from Google and Other search engine because Now Android is Google's mobile operating system then why Google support iPhone or any other gadgets by Apple.
Another reason I would like to say is that iPhone app is mostly developed for USA and other europe countries where Android app is available for many countries.
