And what about the software options on these machines? Only those that are "baked-into" OSX?

I am wondering how complete the "wipe" is between users.

How about swiping someone elses ID and getting a laptop with it and never returning it? Surely there is the requirement of your PIN along with the card to check one out.

Let's hope they have some kind of GPS software on there. So as soon as it connects to a Wi-Fi device it would ping on a map. Sort of like the iPhone's find my phone. This is how they found all the stuff that was stolen out of Steve Jobs home.
