Predictions: What Apple will release in 2013

One more thing I'd really like to see Apple do: drop the price in storage capacity upgrades of iDevices. A $200 premium for a meager 48GB of extra capacity is rather ridiculous. If they're not going to make more standard, then they need to drop the prices.

Me too. Just being able to upgrade RAM (something that is becoming less viable with the Retina MacBook Pros) is a huge advantage for businesses that work with Macs. You can allocate some resources to start a project and then upgrade a machine if the project takes off.

I was very impressed by the this little fellow at CES http://xi3.com/ this one is rather cool so why not go smaller and easily expandable Apple : )

I can't think so. If they were to compromise that machine it would be better to leave it dead in the water, for the market for such a machine will not embrace those compromises. Though it occurs to me as I write this that much of the expandability could be ushered out of the case and available via thunderbolt. Storage, possibly even graphics, even processing? Possibly a dock station on future displays? It doesn't make sense to remove it all from the tower but smaller and thinner are Apple's buzzwords.

I would love a smaller box, even if that means no internal optical drive. Just come out with a killer Apple docking station that lets us plug our eSATA, Firewire 800 and USB 3 devices in addition to a couple Thunderbolt ports. Plus capacity for 128 gigs of RAM. Three people in my department at work are waiting patiently for a new Mac Pro. iMacs don't cut the mustard.
And what would be really cool on the TV front would be not having to have your Mac awake, or running iTunes, to share its iTunes library with TV. And update the 3rd generation model to support that new feature.

Re: iPad Mini... Retina display for only a few $ more and Mini1 goes for sub $300, maybe even $279!
Re: iPhone 5+... faster cpu, longer bat life, more memory for same price...
Re: iPhone Cheap/Mini... if it happens and I doubt it... it will be in plastic with non retina screen who's dpi match so iOS is 'ok' with it and it goes for $395... comes in one version targeted for Third World but might be useable in the US
Re: MacBook stays with regular screen and DVD etc. All the Pros go Retina, loose the DVD and have the SSDs..
Re: MacBook Pro... what I would LOVE to see is a Retina 13" Pro like the one 17" with separate CPU/Display memory, WAY FAST!!!
Re: iOS... I really REALLY want my Playlists back on my iPad!!! (and iPod Touch as well!)

I'd love to know what kind of display tech is in that new Sony Xperia Tablet Z for example. 1920x1200 display and thinner than the iPad Mini? If it has decent battery life...
