I've been a gamer since the 1970s. In the 2000s I played mostly on my Macs. But the last few years I have had scant time to play so I've become unfamiliar with game play quality on the Mac. I am mostly partial to keyboards over game pads but I can overcome this.
So my question is this: I want to play Deus Ex Human Revolution. I have a 2008 Mac Pro with an ATI Radeon HD 5770 and 12 GB of RAM, B&W MM1 speakers and a 30" display. I can run whatever Mac OS X I want. But I also have a decent home theater and a PlayStation 3. Which would give me the better experience (I'm thinking of video and audio)? Would the game play on the PS3 be less than, equal to or better than that of my Mac Pro? I'm thinking along the lines of image and sound quality.

personally i like shooters better on a pc. keyboard controls etc.
but a big tv screen and a good sound system is bringing so much benefit to a game
go for the ps3 version

The mac will be prettier and more precise if you prefer M&KB, though PS3 is less hassle.
lots of places are selling it for 5quid so maybe get it for both ?
