Why can't i empty my Trash ? i dont have permission is what popup box says

WHen I try to securly empty (emptying trash SECURELY is the only option I have) my trash bin, it states that I do not have permission to delete some items. Problem is that I have no memory left that I have to delete those files and apps that I don't use/need. What do I do? Where are the trash permission setting located? Any help is greatly appreciated! What kind of account is your user account set up as? "Standard" or "Administrator"?

administrator. I actually was able to delete the files in the trash. yay!!
