I'm not even sure if the mini would keep that level. I'm still using my release-date iPad with 16GB and it's served well, but with everything coming out retina-ready now and most developers using raster-based graphics instead of vector I think it's going to be tough to sell a 16GB model going forward.

Very tempting, but I'm wondering if we'll still see another real revision in a couple of months.

I really hope you're right because it's stupid to charge so much money for 16gb iPad. 32gb should be the standard now anyways

That's very more than likely it will come up with some new amazing way of selling the same product
"We made it twice as thin" "the processors twice as fast" "Our designers have been able to add an extra 10 minutes of battery life, It's Incredible"
"An amazing accomplishment" "Our engineers managed to take more of your money and offer you incremental upgrades" "it's really fantastic and a remarkable accomplishment the new new iPad."

But then people would complain because they already bought the smaller sizes at the same price. Apple can't win. The next generation will probably be 32/64/128 at the old price points. Then Apple can claim they made it less expensive.

Don't want one, don't buy one. It isn't complicated.

OOPS! I got carried away with the return key.
I hope they drop the price eventually. Apple doesn't need the cash but it does need an increase in stock value, market share, and customer focussed perception. Offering more memory at the same price would help bring about those goals.

One of the concerns about last quarter's results was the reduction in gross margin. So reducing prices would only reduce it further.
