I suppose if you're an independent restaurant/bar, and just hosting a website with your hours, map, and menu, the advice given is reasonable, although in such low-demand circumstances it seems to me that a NAS drive would be overkill anyway. Otherwise, I can't imagine the wisdom of using non-enterprise-class drives for a small business which depends on the system to take web-orders, deliver customer content, operate a call-center, or even just running a site with ad/pageview-based revenue. Cut corners on your brand of toilet paper, not the quality of your mission-critical hardware!
Just my 2c.
That said, perhaps the gurus around Macworld have some concrete figures comparing the performance and reliability of e-class vs. non-e-class drives. If so, I suggest it would be a good subject for a story, so that readers can make better-informed decisions.
