ah, hello? Just scanning the number means that it would be child's play to produce fake credit cards. The magnetic scan done by Square and other readers is a much higher level of security, since the info on the stripe has to match out to the number on the front. I think the approach taken by Flint will end up increasing fraud. And for those that don't know, if you accept such a card without a physical "swipe", you are on the line for any losses, NOT the credit card company.

Man, is this ever a REALLY stupid idea. Like bananaman said, it will do nothing but increase fraud. Plus, it will make people able to steal from other people much much more easily by just snapping a picture of their cards. There HAS to be more to it than what is said here. Hell, I take ANY of the debit or credit card numbers that idiots post on Twitter and I would have free money REALLY fast via this method! THIS IS STUPID!

If it's so stupid, then how come you can do this on every single e-commerce site in the world, making up a significant fraction of the whole retail economy?
