I can't tell from your photograph exactly how big (and how heavy) this unit is. It seems like it would be ideal if it were as small and light as possible. My impression from the picture is that is rather larger than might be ideal.

I picked one up at Macworld/iWorld as well and am very impressed. The stand is reasonably light and portable and feels very solid…and I'm enjoying the convenience of being able to use my iPad at various angles in landscape and portrait mode. I also appreciate the fact that it works just fine when my iPad is in its case.
