Put a copy of Mountain Lion onto a separate drive, or partition, or USB thumb drive and use ONLY to do your Java based stuff. That copy is “disposable” so feel free to abuse it.
- Boot to that system
- Put “/System/Library/CoreServices/CoreTypes.bundle/Contents/Resources/“ into the “Go to Folder” command.
- Trash the “XProtect.meta.plist” and “XProtect.plist files.
