How many GBs are already used for the OS and built in apps on the current iPads / soon to be 128 GB iPad? I'm trying to decide what size iPad to get. Thanks, Tom

I think it now runs close to 4GB for iOS, so there would be 12GB available on a 16GB model.
Do you have a foreseeable need for 100GB of storage? Lots of music and video or big files of some type maybe?
I will agree that 8 GB and 16 GB fill up pretty easily on an iPhone with the OS, apps, photos etc. but we have an iPad 32 that is mostly empty, because it hasn't been the most convenient to loads lots of data onto it and we've come to rely more on accessing files as needed through the network. Jumping up from 32GB to 64 is a big step and even more so to 128GB. All while faster iPads with cheaper mass storage should be released every year.
