Lack of full security on the front end defeats the purpose of a Password utility. 1Password is the only software I would ever use - they know how to protect your passwords and with iCloud or Dropbox, can be used with all your computers and portable devices with the same security and utility. Also, their support is way above average.

I also use 1Password for tons of stuff too and love it. To be honest, I'm concerned with what might happen if the company goes belly up or something. All my passwords (most of which are something like
3Ekw?09!`~wTjoh*=+@3!) are all in one basket. Hope nothing goes wrong with them!

No hacker's going to wait as long as 14 hours (7 hours on average) to crack this app's security -- that would be inconceivable.

I don't think this app is "flawed". It is just a matter of preference.

I like simplicity and find it more useful to use just four-digit pin. Actually I don't care if it takes 10 hours or 10 months to break it. The only point I care about is that it doesn't let others get in instantly. Although it lacks some features, I believe the word "flawed" is unfair and it is worth $4.99.

Seriously? -- if you don't care about security, then just use the same password for everything. Personally I'd recommend five, seven, or nine spaces in a row, because the space key's bigger than any other and that password variation's not used by many. No charge for my advice, incidentally, which suggests how much both it and this utility are actually worth.

Great advice. I could never think of that. You definitely are a genius. But you are missing a point: I didn't say "I don't care about security", I only said "that much security is enough for me". I believe it doesn't take a genius to understand it. Oh sorry, even if it takes, it won't be problem for you.

Err...that would be a Tuesday for a hacker.

I liked 1Password and was happy with their security, but I don't like having to buy upgrades when there are apps that do what they do for free. I moved my passwords to Dashlane. Same level of security, but free on Mac and iPhone. I'd like to see a review on them.
