Ah, Apple always discontinues a current model when a new model is being released. Remember that Tim Cook said that 2013 would see a new updated Mac Pro.

Read closer - has nothing to do with the model being discontinued - it just can't be sold there due to even more European regulations:
"though Apple said last month that it would stop selling the desktop tower in the European Union starting March 1 (for which you can blame updated electrical regulations), "

What is it with the EU? They seem to want a bland, homogenised Europe in the mould of Orwell's 1984. What on earth was wrong with the MacPro?
