Photoshop requiring Java to run from the UI is a huge security hole. I would love to just delete Java from all of my systems, but i cannot. I use Photoshop on a regular basis and not using it is not an option. As long as Adobe continues to create and distribute programs that have such a large reliance on Java, Java is here to stay. And yes, I know about the terminal command to start Photoshop to bypass the UI requirement for Java, but that is, unfortunately, not a viable option. In the meantime, I will continue to isolate Java as much as possible until I can run the programs I need without it being needed on my systems. When that day comes, Java is gone forever.
