Fantastic article! Thanks for the info! I hate watches but I'm definitely getting this. I hate pulling out my phone just to see who text me.

A little confusing. Their website states that the display uses e-paper. So, what is it? An LCD or e-paper?

I've been enjoying my Pebble watch as well. But, as Jason stated updates are in order to gain more functionality. I was truly excited to receive mine and right away I started looking for the bike and runner apps only to discover they're currently unavailable.
The only other negative for me—and this a personal choice – I wish the display were just a tiny bit brighter. However, I've gotten used to its brightness and haven't had any trouble reading the watch face.
I also discovered that merely shaking your wrist is enough to switch on the backlight.
Battery-life has been good and I've recharged about every 3-4 days.
Finally, everyone that I've "demo'd" the Pebble for wants one!

If you like the idea of seeing who called or getting your messages without taking your phone out of your pocket, my own Phone Amego provides this for the Mac (and suffers from the same iOS limitations as the Pebble).
On a Mac of course you can log all your calls, click-to-dial from your Address Book, block unwanted calls, etc. I've been asking Apple to improve their Bluetooth support for years and am glad to see a little movement in that direction.
