Trouble with making calls on iPhone 5

I recently bought an iPhone 5 and am having trouble with dropped calls (phone calls suddenly being cut) or lousy reception (choppy reception). Is anyone having the same problem? What can I do about it?

This may be because of old CDMA limitation: no talking and surfing simultaneously. Also this problem may be Verizon problem.

Did you change carriers when you got the iPhone 5?

If you are on the same carrier, did you have similar problems with your old phone?
