Unless they actually change the hardware in any meaningful way, it may as be the 5S. I'm hoping for a built-in hand on a springy arm that slaps people when they try and cross the road while texting.

Typically the "S" variant of an iPhone has lots of internal hardware changes. I think you mean external case design.

iPhone suffixes used to have meaning up to the 3GS. That's where Apple kinda went all wrong with it. After the iPhone 4 (meaning 4th Generation), it all went down hill. The iPhone naming now has no relevant meaning.

And, please, don't say 5 comes after 4. There was never a 2 or 3 in the first place.
