I use my tv as a monitor so I have a lot of land scape so is there away to turn mission control off or have all app actions on my desktop (window)?

Supposedly, the instructions on this page provide a Terminal command to turn off (and on) Mission Control.

I don't know if any way to effectively turn it off by way of the normal Mac OS interface...other than kind of turning it off by disabling the "key" keystrokes or trackpad gestures.

I am not sure what you mean by "have all app actions on my desktop (window)". Can you elaborate? What specifically are you trying to accomplish?
