I am looking for just a simple RPG where you can buy items, and fight monsters, it doesn't need a plot or anything, I just want a simple game or something in the like. Anyone know of a good one?

It's called Wyvern, and it's in the style of the classic RPG. Doing the things you mentioned is exactly what this is all about. It reminds me of the early Zelda games a little with its dated graphics, but it is loads of fun. /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

If it's only for OS 9, but this should get you up and running on OS X.

There's a free java version of dungeon master.

you need OSX (don't know if it works in OS9) and java 1.4 to use it.
you run the game by following the instructions in the readme.
You have to input the commands using the console.
