I just received a Lacie 120GB firewire drive. I want to use it to hold my iTunes library, my iPhoto library and as the default drive for when I input video.
Anyone out there who can advise me how to do this?
Thanks.

Simple. The fastest way is to copy your entire iTunes Music Folder onto the ext.drive. Delete your library in itunes. Import the music from the new location folder into iTunes.
In iTunes/preferences/advanced, change the iTunes music folder location to that new location.

actually, iTunes does everything for you. in the prefs you tell iTunes where you want your music to be. iTunes then asks you wheter you want your music moved there.
works similarly in iPhoto i believe.

I just tried it, and it does not move your music for you. It only updates the location of your music. Maybe if you move the music first then change the default location, it will find where the music was moved to.
