No "page up" and "page down" in vi?

When using vi to edit the httpd.conf file for Apache, I've noticed that the "page up" and "page down" keys don't allow me to quickly scroll through the file. "page up" and "page down" control the screen buffer and allow me to go back up and see previous terminal commands and output.
Because of this, it I have to hold down the "down arrow" key and scrow down line by line through the enormous config file... Which is a huge pain when I need to edit a line that happens to be at the end of the file.
Is there any way around this... Can vi be setup to "page up" and "page down" quickly on OS X? I'm sort of wondering if there are other shortcut keys for this besides the actual "page up" and "page down" keys.

Try an alternate terminal application, such as GLTerm or iTerm. I'm partial to the latter. It's free and has tabs. It's what I use. I think it has the proper behavior, but I'm not entirely sure because I'm not in front of my computer. You could also try xterm while using an X11 window manager.

I downloaded iTerm and it works like a charm. I wasn't aware that there were different terminals available for OS X! :-)

Jus so you know, in VI you can page up and down with CTRLF and CTRLB, in case you dont have a fancy app some time.

I was just reading recently that in Panther, page up and page down will work with applications in the Terminal (like pico and vi) just like they do in other OS X applications.
So, if you upgrade, you won't need any third-party software to accomplish this feat--it'll be built into OS X's Terminal.

Yeah, I'm really liking the tabs feature in iTerm.
