Hello, I am glad to find this site. currently I got an used I-book from my friend.
It has the Safari internet browser which seems very good for Mac.
However, whenever I try to type an address to open at the address window
lots of address show up below the address window. I guess my friend
visited those sites before. since I do not like to see them, I tried to click
'Clear History' in the History pull down menu. But I could still see them.
If anyone knows how to handle it, I would really appreciate your help.
Thank you.

If you clear the history and cache, the only addresses that pop up should be the ones in your bookmarks.

Try using the "Reset Safari" command, under the application menu.
