Suddenly I have lost the ability to use Quark 6. When trying to open a document or launch the application, I get this error message:
You cannot run QuarkXPress on a locked volume. [83]
I have checked the onwership and permissions on both the HD and Quark (neither was changed before the error message popped up), and they are in order. Does anyone have a clue as to why the application would suddenly decide it does not like my Mac (G3, 400 MHz, 394 MB RAM)?

The same thing happened to me when running Quark in classic. It was the Quark folder permissions that needed to be changed.

Hi, I also had the same issue with Quark 6.0 being locked. Do a "Get Info (command-I) on the Quark application icon and make sure it is UN-locked. See if that helps. Good luck! /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Don't waste your money. Buy InDesign it's a much better product and Adobe is a little (not much) less arrogent than Quark.
