How to save a DVD to hard drive?

I am trying to save part of a DVD on my hard drive, i dont want to save more then 10 mins of it. I am not sure if i can do that and if there is a software how could i only save 10 mins.

SnapzPro X can record screen movies, though I'm not sure how good the framerate would be.

VLC (Video Lan Client) is an excellent player, and I think it has output capabilities. Check it out at VersionTracker.com and play around with it.

An application weirdly named 42 is also really good for that. It was just updated for Panther too.

Snap Pro X is brilliant, for screen grabs, Movies and Stills, gives as good as quality as the DVD

42 is named 42 because 42 is "the answer" in the HitchHiker's Guide to the Galaxy series. In case you didn't know, the green guy sticking out his toungue icon is the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy logo. Now, I don't know what the HHGG has to do with dvds, but...
